Magical PinPanion ("the app") is operated by [Company name] ("we," "us"). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the app, you agree to this policy.

Information you give us

• Account details: your name, username, and email address. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive the name and email those services share with us. Apple may give us a private relay email instead of your real one.
• Profile: your display name, username, and profile photo if you add one.
• Your collection: the pins, boards, traders, ISO lists, favorites, and badges you keep in the app.
• Pin submissions: the photos and details you submit, including tags.
• Meetups: the event details you submit, plus the organizer name and contact info you give our review team.
• Support and feedback: your chat messages, reports, and any photos or screenshots you attach. If you choose to include device details with a report, we receive your phone model, operating system, and app version.

Information collected automatically

• App and device info: your device type, operating system, and app version, plus crash reports and basic usage statistics that help us fix bugs.
• Scan history: which pins your scans matched. Photos you scan are used to identify the pin and are deleted after 30 days, with one exception: when a photo you take with the camera in Snap & ID clearly matches a catalog pin that still needs a photo, a cleaned-up copy showing just the pin is sent to our team for review and, if approved, becomes that pin's photo in the catalog. It never shows your name, and you can ask us to remove it anytime.

Location

We use your location only if you allow it, and only to show how far away meetups are. Distances are calculated on your phone. We don't store your precise location on our servers, and we never track your location in the background. You can turn location access off anytime in your phone's Settings.

Camera and photos

The app asks for camera or photo access only when you use a feature that needs it, like scanning a pin, adding a pin photo, attaching a screenshot, or scanning a QR code.

How we use your information

• To run the app's features, like identifying pins, saving your collection, and sharing your lists when you choose to.
• To review pin submissions and meetups before they're published.
• To answer support requests and reports.
• To keep the community safe and enforce our Terms of Use and Community Guidelines.
• To fix problems and improve the app.
• To send important updates about your account or events you've joined. You can manage notifications in your phone's Settings.

What other people can see

If you turn on trade requests (18+ only), other adult collectors who also use them can see your username and photo when you have a pin they're looking for on your Traders list. The social media usernames you add are shown only to a collector after one of you accepts the other's trade request. Your birthday is used only to confirm you're 18 or older (and for the birthday badge), and is never shown to anyone.

Your collection is private by default. Other collectors can see your name and username when you share a list or QR code, the lists you choose to share, and the public details of meetups you host. Your organizer contact info is visible only to our review team.

How we share information

We don't sell or rent your personal information, and we don't show ads or share your information for advertising. We share information only:

• With service providers who help run the app, such as database hosting, image recognition, email delivery, and crash reporting. They may use it only to provide services to us.
• When required by law, or to protect the safety of our users or the public.
• As part of a merger, sale, or transfer of the app, in which case this policy continues to apply.

Storage and security

Your information is stored on secure servers in the United States and encrypted in transit. We limit who can access it. No system is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you if a breach affects you, as required by law.

How long we keep information

We keep your information while your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we must keep it for legal reasons. Backups are cleared within [number] days. Pins you submitted that were approved may stay in the shared catalog without your name attached.

Your choices and rights

• Edit your name, username, and photo in Profile.
• Delete pins, boards, submissions, and events you created.
• Delete your account anytime in Profile.
• Ask for a copy of your information, or for corrections, by contacting us.
• Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights. We'll honor requests as required by applicable law.

Children

Magical PinPanion isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us and we'll delete it. Collectors aged 13 to 17 should use the app with a parent or guardian's permission.

Changes to this policy

If we make meaningful changes, we'll let you know in the app before they take effect. The effective date at the top shows when this policy was last updated.
